I'm Deirdre McLary.

I am a mom of three children, all in their 20's, and each with a unique and different infant feeding story. New motherhood, and their stories informed my growth and work in health care, and absolutely guide me in the work I do as a lactation consultant. I started down the path of supporting new families back in 1999, when my second child was born.  My first go round breastfeeding was filled with all the typical pitfalls and struggles. I knew there had to be better support out there! So I sought local LCs and La Leche League support!  Over time, with multiple certifications for lactation (LLLL, IBCLC, CLC, LC), Doula Care (CD, CD-DONA), and as a medical assistant to a beloved local pediatrician in Nyack - I built a career in lactation and as a new parent mentor. I have worked with hundreds of NY metro area families.

As a private lactation consultant, I serve Rockland and Bergen counties. I provide expert guidance to new families looking for breast and infant feeding support.
